- Bring attention to Coalition
successes and help publicize them within
the Coalition and the community and to
increase the Coalition’s role as community educators
for childhood obesity prevention & treatment.
Astounding Accomplishments:
- Organized & partnered with the
local American Academy of Pediatrics
Chapter 3 to offer two conferences
for health professionals in San Diego
County
- Created the 100-page “Toolkit
for School Board Advocacy and Practice
Management” with funding from The
California Endowment, California Obesity
Prevention Institute (COPI), and Mead
Johnson
- Created a database of pediatricians & health
professionals to start engaging health
professionals with their local school
districts
